Karakura Town - Urahara's shop

Following the information displayed on the map Ukitake-san gave us, our small group eventually arrives before the shop.
It is almost dawn and I have little hope not to wake up everyone inside.

Ah, whatever. This man has always something going on, I don't think he's even sleeping now.


I am about to knock on the door when it slides open.
Before us stands Tessai-dono, former leader of the Kidou Corps and now in charge of the shop with Uruhara.
Towering over us by at least two heads length, he greets us with a baritone voice:

"Hmph, it is an early hour to come disturbing Uruhara-san. We have heard of your venue. Please enter and wait a minute, I will go pick the Gigai that Soul Society has delivered for your convenience."

I bow deeply.
"Tessai-dono, we are more than thankful for your diligence!"

Saluting our crowd with a short bow, he disappears into the shadows of the shop.

I turn toward the ladies, and add in a joyful tone:
"See, this is true respect of the customer! What a great quality of service! We might manage to get lots of time to find a fine place to sleep."

I enter the shop after Hiro, looking around with curiosity. At the first view, it seems like a simple candy shop. However, here lives Urahara Kisuke, the ex-captain of the 12th Squad.

I nod to Hiro's words, smiling.

"That's true."

I look at the place where Tessai has disappeared.

"So that's the famous Tsukibashi Tessai, leader of the Kidou Corps..."

I enter the shop as Tessai-san greets us. He quickly leaves to get our gigai. I bow to him as he leaves. (Keirei)

Wow so this is the place where Urahara-san lives now?! Never would’ve imagined... Tessai-san is the same as always. I smile. That’s good to see, I had been worried about him.

I nod in response to Hiro and Satori’s comments.

“Yep that’s Tessai-san for ya. He hasn’t changed one bit.”

Tessai-san returns with our Gigai.
“Will this be all for today?”

“Yes, thank you Tessai-san.” I bow respectfully again. 

“Hmm… Alright now. Next step is to get a change of clothes. 
Satori, you seem to know more of the human world’s fashion and the shops. I trust you to lead us in the right direction. Then we need to find a place to stay… 
Hiro you seem to know the area better than I do and have the list of people we can contact. Will ya lead the way? 
And. . . Ru-chan… Do you know how to get us into this Karakura School that Satori mentioned? I shall leave this task to you.”

My arms full with the 4 bodies we just received, I patiently listen to Nee-San's orders.

Hm, OK... gotta check that map again then... where could we go?


I drop the pack and look at the labyrinth of streets. In one of them a house has been circled in white. Above is a note saying in capitals Kurosaki Ichigo, Shinigami Representative.
Five blocks away is another place, circled with a pink heart-shaped sign. Orihime Inoue, cooks great meals. I recognize Matsumoto Rangiku's handwriting.
Then further away is a spot saying Asano Keigo and his lovely sister, Mizuho. Oh this is Yumichika's handwriting! This must be the house Ikkaku's told me about! 
Well, many places to visit. I'd love to know more about this Kurosaki and his friends. Cap' Kom' has often spoken of Yasutora Sado, Inoue Orihime and Ishida Uryuu with the utmost respect. I am sure they are very bright people.

I turn towards Mayu, waving the map at her.
"I think we should start with the Kurosaki's house. It seems like Kurosaki Ichigo is the most used to see Shinigami pop up into his town. We can ask him about the other locations then."

I knit my eyebrows. Wait there was something that felt odd with what Mayu just said...hm...
"Hey Mayu-chan, what about you? Don't you have anything to do other than...'supervising' our missions? Hm?"

I peacefuly listen to Mayu's orders, nodding, then smile when she leaves the responsability of clothings to me.

"You can believe in me, I'll do as you said !"

I turn to Hiro, who is showing the map. I look at the famous house.

"Kurosaki's house... Oh, are we really going to meet Kurosaki Ichigo ? That's great, I've always wanted to know who he is..."

Ah, it reminds me of that moment, 2 years ago, when that group of humans arrived in Soul Society... everyone was so excited ! At the beginning, we thought it was a joke, but then, Aizen "died" and everything began to accelarate... And finally, that Kurosaki turned out to be an ally. If he hadn't been here, maybe Aizen would have fulfilled his plan. Not, there's no "maybe". He would have fulfilled it completelywithout any doubt.

I enter Urahara's shop. Tessai-san says his greeting and then goes to retrieve our gigai.

So this is the famous Urahara shop.
 
After Tessai-san returns with the gigai, Mayu asks me about a way into Karakura High school and leaves me the task on how we will get in.


Hm... we obviously can't sneak in, that would end up disastrously. Not to mention we have to stay inconspicuous, so if we were to get caught that would not bode well. So that way is out of the question. Wait I remember Lieutenant Nanao saying that the previous team that went to the human world enrolled in Karakura High school. That is clearly the only option we have. That way we won't draw unnecessary attention to ourselves and it won't look suspicious if we ask questions about the happenings of Karakura.
 
“Mayu, I do have one way. I’m not sure how you will like it but it is our only option. Well the only one with a favorable outcome anyway.” I call out to Tessai-san as we will need his services once more.

Tessai: “How can I help you Ms.Tachibana?"

“Sorry Tessai-san but we will be needing one more thing. Would you please draw up the necessary documents we will need to enroll in Karakura High school?”

Tessai: " Certainly, I will return momentarily."

Tessai-san goes to draw up the documents I requested.

I listen to Yowaiseishin’s idea.

Going to Kurosaki-san's house is a good idea as well as a suitable place to start. What a relief that he isn't as empty headed as he seems.

Tessai-san returns and hands me the enrollment documents for all of us.
“Thank you Tessai-san. So shall we head over to Kurosaki-sans house now?”

I listen to each of my comrades as they each accept the tasks I gave them.

“Alright! Then are we all in agreement on what our current tasks are? Good!” I turn to face Ru-chan. “Good thinkin’ Ru! I knew I could trust ya with this!”

Hmm… Ok. . . So Ru will have our entry to this human school covered and we have papers that we apparently need. Satori will be responsible for making us blend in with the public… in style of course! And Hiro will be responsible for helping everyone to find a place to stay... Ha… To think the first person he’d suggest would be the Kurosaki brat. He’s a surprising one… I remember when he first broke into Soul Society… I thought the stupid human would get himself killed in less than an hour but as I heard the news that he was beating more and more Shinigami and not all weak ones at that…. I was itching to fight him! Alas, I was assigned elsewhere. Still, I am surprised at how much of a capable guy he is. It’ll be nice to final-

Hiro interrupts my thoughts by finally clicking to the fact that I didn’t give myself a job. I smirk and turn to face him.

“Hmm.. Well making sure you guys do your jobs well is my job. However, I am also in charge of the investigation, Hiro-kun.” I wink at him. “Now then… Are we all set? Yoshi! Let’s head out towards Kurosaki's house then! Hiro lead the way!”
